Use a light colored pan, so that you can see when the butter starts to brown.
Cut stick of butter into pieces and place in pan on medium heat.
As butter melts, stir and move it around the pan so that it melts consistently.
The butter will begin to bubble slightly, keep stirring until it starts to turn a deep, golden brown. These are milk solids that have been toasted and are full of flavor!
